Sometimes we don't feel like talking on the phone. And when that some time is now, Chat Sessions are a great way to get the guidance you're seeking without having to talk.
To start a Chat Session, click on your Advisor's Chat button on their profile from the website or in your Android app. Chat Sessions are not supported in the iOS app but you can still use them on our website. If you are clicking on an Advisor's invitation to a Chat Session from Messages or in an SMS text, we'll open the app or mobile website depending on your phone's operating system.
You can also start a Chat Session by clicking on the button in the upper right corner of Messages:
Then click "Chat with Advisor" in the session initiation window:
Once the Advisor accepts the session, you'll see this window and billing will start. To end the session, click "End Timed Chat" in the upper right corner.
We'll let you know when you have one minute remaining and we'll prompt you to add more funds if you'd like to continue the session. Afterwards, be sure to let your Advisor know how the session went by leaving feedback and a rating. If you're feeling particularly grateful, feel free to give your Advisor a tip, too!
Should you want to review a transcript of your Chat Session, go to Transaction Details, click on the session your want to review, and then click "View Transcript:"
