At Everclear, the integrity of our Advisors is very important to us. This is why we've established a rigorous application process that all Everclear Advisors must go through before they can interact with our clients. But despite our best efforts, you could still have a bad interaction with an Advisor — on Everclear or elsewhere. Below are some tips to keep in mind when working with a spiritual Advisor.
- Keep All Communication on Everclear: Don't move conversations to text, email, or social media, even if an Advisor asks you to. Interactions that happen off-platform aren't covered by our Satisfaction Guarantee, and we can't verify or step in if something goes wrong.
- Be Wary of Guarantees: Be cautious of Advisors who claim 100% accuracy or promise a specific outcome — a health recovery, a financial windfall, a reunion with an ex. Genuine intuitive guidance doesn't work in certainties, and no one can guarantee real-world results.
- Don't Overshare Personal Information: Advisors should never ask for your Social Security number, financial account details, passwords, or ID copies. Be mindful on your end too — even small details like your full name and city can be pieced together into a surprising amount of personal information.
- Watch for Fear-Based Pressure: Be cautious of anyone who says you're in danger, or that something bad will happen unless you act (or pay) right away. Urgency and fear are classic pressure tactics, not signs of genuine insight.
- Be Skeptical of "Curses" or "Blocked Energy" Claims: If an Advisor says you, a loved one, or an object is cursed, hexed, or carrying negative energy — and that they're the only one who can remove it, for a fee — treat that as a major red flag. This is one of the oldest and most common scam patterns in the industry.
- Notice Escalating or Repeated Fees: Be cautious if an Advisor keeps finding new problems that require new paid sessions or rituals to resolve. Legitimate Advisors don't need to manufacture an endless series of paid fixes.
- Be Careful With Emotionally Vulnerable Moments: If you've shared something painful — a loss, a breakup, a health scare — during a session, be extra alert to Advisors who use that disclosure to push urgency or additional paid sessions. Grief and stress are common targets for this kind of pressure.
- Watch for Impersonation on Social Media: Scammers sometimes create fake accounts that copy the name, photo, and content of real, well-reviewed Advisors to trick people into paying them directly off-platform. If you're contacted by someone claiming to be an Everclear Advisor outside the app, don't send payment or personal information — verify through your Everclear account first.
- Trust Your Instincts: If something doesn't feel right, it's okay to disengage. You're never obligated to continue a session that makes you uncomfortable.
All Everclear Advisors are vetted and reviewed by our team, and the vast majority genuinely want to help you navigate life's ups and downs. That said, if you ever have an unusual or concerning interaction with an Advisor — on or off the platform — please let us know at support@everclear.com.
